Medical Director
Michael J. Bank, MD is the Medical Director of Advanced Health and Injury Care and a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician. Dr. Bank is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. As our practice’s clinical leader, Dr. Bank oversees clinical care, works with our interdisciplinary team to ensure our patient’s receive the highest quality of care, and implements appropriate clinical practices, policies, and procedures. As a Internal Medicine Physician, Dr. Bank is a caring and compassionate doctor who genuinely listens to our patients concerns and provides them with the highest quality of care.
Dr. Bank is a graduate of Harvard University and earned his Medical Degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY and Residency in Internal Medicine at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey.
In addition to being a talented physician and medical director, Dr. Bank is an accomplished pianist.

John S. Vlattas, MD
Board-Certified in Physiatry, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Pain Medicine
John S. Vlattas, MD is a Board-Certified Physiatrist with additional Board-Certification in Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Certified Subspecialty in Pain Medicine. Dr. Vlattas has more than 20 years experience in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is Fellowship-Trained in Sports and Spine Medicine with an emphasis on the non-operative care of musculoskeletal and spine injuries, including interventional spine injections.
Dr. Vlattas earned his Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed a Transitional Internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA with a focus on internal medicine, emergency medicine, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, neurology, rheumatology, and radiology. Dr. Vlattas performed a Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the prestigious New York University Rusk Institute in New York, New York. During his Residency at the Rusk Institute, he was honored to serve as Administrative Chief Resident and Unit Chief Resident while focusing on Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and Neuromuscular Disease. His Residency included experience in the various divisions at Rusk including the VA Medical Center (Amputee Care), Hospital for Joint Disease (Orthopedic and General Rehabilitation), Bellevue Medical Center (Pain Management and Sports Medicine), and Goldwater Memorial Hospital (Chronic Ventilator Unit, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and General Inpatient Rehabilitation).
Dr. Vlattas’s research is published in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is a Member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports, and Occupational Rehabilitation; American College of Sports Medicine; American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine; American Academy of Pain Medicine; American Medical Association; New York State Medical Society; and Queens County Medical Society.

Kim Liuzza, RPA-c
Physician Assistant
Kim Liuzza, RPA-c is a Certified Registered Physician Assistant with more than 24 years of experience. As a caring physician assistant, Kim instantly puts our patients at ease and performs histories, physicals, and evaluations for diagnostic testing. Kim works closely with our medical staff to provide proper course of treatment and diligent patient follow-up care.
Kim earned her Bachelor of Medical Science Degree in the Physician Assistant Program at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia.
